With Green Bay offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett leaving to become the head coach of the Denver Broncos, the Packers need a new OC. According to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport and NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, Packers offensive line coach/run game coordinator Adam Stenavich is being promoted to offensive coordinator.

Stenavich was a multi-year starter at left tackle for Michigan. He went undrafted but played in the NFL from 2006-10. In 2012, he got into coaching as a graduate assistant at Michigan. He has been in the NFL since 2017, joining the Packers staff in 2019.

To fill Stenavich’s offensive line post, the Packers are promoting Luke Butkus, who was previously assistant OL coach. Butkus, a former center, played at Illinois. He went undrafted in 2002, playing professionally in the NFL and NFL Europe 2002-to-2004. In 2005, he got into coaching as a graduate assistant at Oregon. He has spent most of his coaching career in the NFL, but did coach offensive line at Illinois in 2012 and from 2016-to-2018. He has been with the Packers since 2019.
