Greg McElroy has been making picks on the biggest matchups in college football during this season, and this week is no different. The biggest game this weekend takes place in Happy Valley as No. 3 Penn State hosts No. 4 Ohio State in a game with huge B1G and College Football Playoff implications.

The Buckeyes already have 1 loss in conference this year, and a 2nd loss would all but eliminate them from a B1G championship appearance.

McElroy thinks this is going to be a classic B1G game, but he likes the home team in this game.

“I’m taking the bait,” McElroy said after referencing betting trends for both teams. “It doesn’t feel good. It doesn’t feel good at all. I think this is going to be a super low-scoring affair. I think this is going to be a Big Ten clash where physicality is of the utmost importance, where line of scrimmage play determines who wins loses. And right now, I think there is a decided advantage on the line of scrimmage for Penn State. I’m taking Penn State.

“Like I said, it feels terrible saying those words out loud right now, and I will probably be eating some crow come Sunday, but I have to go with what I have seen so far. Right now, Ohio State’s offensive line is too big of a concern me to overlook.”

Kickoff is scheduled for noon ET from Happy Valley and the game will be on FOX.
