Heads up! Official in Texas-Kansas State game takes pass off the face
At least one official is not having a great day at the office this Saturday.
The official mentioned is the umpire in the game between Texas and Kansas State. Being in the wrong place at the wrong time on this play is a bit of an understatement.
Patrolling the middle of the field is rife with hazards, and it is usually the umpires that have to deal with the action. On this play, the umpire was in his traditional position, but he was unfortunately in the path of this pass.
Unable to get out of the way of the throw, the only move left for the umpire was to take the hit. There was nowhere to go as he took the throw off of his forehead before it bounced away.

That one is likely to leave a bruise, but at least he did not take that throw straight off the nose. We will have to wait and see if he lands on the injured list for next weekend.
