Heather Dinich provides 'reality' outlook for final CFP field
Heather Dinich — one of ESPN’s leading college football analysts — weighed in on the most recent rankings put out by the College Football Playoff Committee.
On Tuesday night, those new rankings included Georgia in the No. 1 overall spot followed by Ohio State, Michigan and TCU in spots 2-4. Each of those teams is undefeated while the first one-loss team is Tennessee at No. 5 followed by Oregon at No. 6.

With the Committee slotting those teams in that order, Dinich believes it is easy to predict the “reality” of the final four on Selection Day. According to Dinich, she is predicting 1 or 2 losses for currently undefeated TCU and that the top-ranked Bulldogs will beat LSU in the SEC Championship.

If that plays out as expected, Dinich’s prediction is that the CFP field will be Georgia, the winner of The Game between Ohio State and Michigan, Tennessee and Oregon.
Here’s the reality: I think LSU loses to UGA in SEC title game. TCU loses once if not twice. The top four on Selection Day looks a lot like Georgia, Ohio State/Michigan winner, Vols and Ducks.

While Dinich sees a cut-and-dried scenario for the final field, November is a month for surprises and dramatic upsets in college football. We’ll see who makes it through unscathed down the stretch.
