A heavily-recruited defensive back has narrowed his offer list down to six potential candidates.

Jayden Bellamy, a 3-star cornerback out of Oradell, New Jersey, has released his Top 6 schools, half of which are from the B1G. He’s considered Ohio State, Penn State and Rutgers as potential landing spots to play college football. Also in the mix are Clemson, Notre Dame and Oklahoma.

Bellamy made his announcement with a post on Twitter. He trimmed his list down from 23 offers during the recruiting process.

Other B1G schools that extended an offer but did not land in the Top 6 were Michigan, Nebraska and Wisconsin.

Per 247Sports, Bellamy is listed at 6-foot-1, 175 pounds and ranks as the No. 39 cornerback in the 2022 recruiting class and the No. 6 player from New Jersey. Nationally, the defensive back is the No. 427 overall prospect, regardless of position.

Currently, Ohio State, Penn State and Rutgers account for the Top 3 spots in the B1G recruiting rankings, respectively. The Buckeyes rank No. 2 nationally while the Nittany Lions are at No. 6 and the Scarlet Knights sit at No. 9.
