Heinrich Haarberg and Braelon Allen are both dinged up and looking to return to the field for Saturday’s Week 12 game between Nebraska and Wisconsin.

Haarberg has been the starting quarterback for much of the season with the Cornhuskers. In the Week 11 loss to Maryland, he sustained a sprained ankle and head coach Matt Rhule has been monitoring Haarberg’s status throughout the week.

Allen has been battling an injury and tried to give it a go for the Badgers last week. However, he was shut down after 3 carries and was unable to impact the game in another loss for Wisconsin.

When the availability reports for Week 12 were released, both key players were listed as questionable for the game. Rhule previously stated Haarberg would likely be available in some capacity, but it’s unclear if he’ll be able to start.

Haarberg is Nebraska’s leading passer and rusher this season. He has 967 passing yards and 7 touchdowns while also leading the Huskers with 477 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns on the ground. If he’s unable to go, Nebraska would roll with Jeff Sims or Chubba Purdy.

Allen is Wisconsin’s leading rusher with 757 yards and 8 touchdowns while averaging 5.7 yards per carry. He has a shot at a third straight season with at least 1,000 rushing yards if he is able to return for the final few games.
