Heinz Field no more: Michigan-based company lands stadium naming rights for Pittsburgh Steelers
Stadium naming rights are a shifting landscape. That is just the lay of the land, though it is not always easy to stomach when it comes to longstanding names.
Heinz Field in Pittsburgh is a great example. Known as Heinz Field since the Steelers opened the stadium in 2001, it was reported that Heinz would not be renewing its agreement with the Steelers for 2022.
On Monday, Pittsburgh announced that Acrisure – a global insurance broker headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan – would assume naming rights for the stadium. The Steelers are the company have entered into a 15-year agreement for their home field to be named Acrisure Stadium.

“We are excited to partner with Acrisure for the naming rights to our stadium,” said Steelers President Art Rooney II via press release. “Acrisure provided us with an opportunity to ensure our stadium continues to be a valuable asset for our fans as well as keeping up with the market value of NFL stadiums. We are very appreciative to partner with Greg Williams and his company, and we look forward to a long, beneficial relationship for years to come.”
