Here are the 5 5-stars signed by Big Ten teams in the 2024 recruiting cycle
The race to finish the 2024 recruiting class is wrapping up with National Signing Day going on across the country.
As the final available prospects put pen to paper with their National Letter of Intent, the recruiting class rankings are all but finalized. That includes where every 5-star recruit in the cycle landed.
In the end, the 2024 recruiting class produced 32 5-star players per the 247 Sports Composite, the vast majority of whom ended up in the SEC. The SEC, including Texas and Oklahoma, signed 21 of the 5-star prospects while the Big Ten was next with 5 players.
The ACC was next with 3 of the 5-star prospects while the Big 12 signed 2. Notre Dame, an independent, signed one of the 5-star players.
It’s also worth noting that Alabama led the way with 5 signees rated as 5-star prospects, but that group includes QB Julian Sayin. Sayin was an early enrollee for the Crimson Tide, but he has since transferred to Ohio State.
With Sayin not credited in the original B1G signees for 2024, Ohio State is credited with a quartet of 5-star players, including the nation’s No. 1 overall prospect Jeremiah Smith.
Here are the 5-stars and their ranking overall:
1. Jeremiah Smith, WR, Chaminade-Madonna Prep (Opa Locka, FL) — Ohio State
21. Dylan Raiola, QB, Buford (Buford, GA) — Nebraska
26. Eddrick Houston, DL, Buford (Buford, GA) — Ohio State
33. Mylan Graham, WR, New Haven (New Haven, IN) — Ohio State
36. Aaron Scott, CB, Springfield (Springfield, OH) — Ohio State
