There’s never a bad time for looking at how teams are looking against the spread during the college football season.
For the Big Ten teams, a lot of them have done very well so far, but others have struggled a bit:

Indiana being at 3-0 isn’t surprising since they were only a 6.5 underdog against Penn State in the opening week but still won. After that when they were the favorite in their next two wins, they won as the favorite very comfortably.
For Northwestern, they’ve also done great as they won against the spread against Maryland and Nebraska. The only one they didn’t was in their one-point victory over Iowa.
On the opposite side of the spectrum, it’s been rough for teams such as Nebraska and Penn State who play each other this weekend.
Penn State wasn’t able to win as the favorite against Indiana or Maryland and they couldn’t close the line against Ohio State either.
For the Cornhuskers, they couldn’t close the line against Ohio State or Northwestern.
It’ll be interesting to see how these numbers change after this weekend’s games.
