Producing a high number of draft picks is a bragging right in college football. It’s also an incredible recruiting advantage for head coaches and staff members while trying land commitments from the top prospects.

Over the last five years, every B1G team has produced at least a handful of NFL players. Some have been churning them out by the dozens.

Tuesday, FOX Sports tweeted out a graphic showing just how many draft picks each B1G school has produced since 2015. It’s not too much of a surprise that Ohio State is the leader of the league. What is surprising, however, is that it nearly doubles every other program’s total.

Here’s the breakdown of NFL Draft selections each B1G team has produced since 2015:

  1. Ohio State — 40
  2. Michigan — 24
  3. Penn State — 21
  4. Wisconsin — 16
  5. Iowa — 15
  6. Michigan State — 14
  7. Maryland — 11
  8. Nebraska — 9
  9. Minnesota — 8
  10. Indiana — 8
  11. Northwestern — 8
  12. Rutgers — 7
  13. Illinois — 5
  14. Purdue — 4

The 2020 NFL Draft is scheduled to begin Thursday, April 23 and run through Saturday, April 25.
