Anyone following college football, and even some who don’t, all know that Ohio State will be facing Clemson in the Sugar Bowl on New Year’s Day in the semifinal of the College Football Playoffs.
But some other B1G teams will be making bowl appearances as well.

Indiana – Outback Bowl
After missing out on a New Year’s Six bowl game, Indiana later on Sunday received word they will be officially playing Ole Miss in the 2021 Outback Bowl.
The hopes of making a top-6 bowl game came up short early Sunday, despite the Hoosiers being ranked No.7 in the Associated Press Top-25 poll. Officially, Indiana was ranked No. 11 in the final College Football Playoff rankings released on Sunday.
The Hoosiers haven’t played in two weeks due to COVID-19, but according to head coach Tom Allen, the team plans to return to practice on Monday to allow time to get ready for Mississippi. Ole Miss currently has a 4-5 record, and are coming off a 53-48 loss to LSU on Saturday.
The Outback Bowl will be played on Jan. 2, 2021, at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla.
Northwestern – Citrus Bowl
Northwestern, who went toe-to-toe with Ohio State in the Big Ten Championship, only to fall 22-10, will head to Florida to play in the Citrus Bowl with Auburn. Pat Fitzerald’s team will put their 6-2 season to the test against the Tigers, who put up a 6-4 record out of the SEC.
Since the Tigers fired Gus Malzahn the day after the Tigers beat Mississippi State in their final game, defensive coordinator Kevin Steele has been acting as interim coach. The Citrus Bowl will be played at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla. on Jan. 1, 2021.
Iowa – Music City Bowl
Looking for a fourth-consecutive bowl victory, Iowa will head to Nashville to play in the Music City Bowl on Dec. 30 and will face Missouri.
Iowa head coach Kirk Ferentz is already in isolation after being diagnosed with COVID-19 last week and is scheduled to be out of quarantine on Dec. 27.
Vanderbilt Stadium in Nashville, Tenn. will play host to the Music City Bowl.
Wisconsin – Duke’s Mayo Bowl
After an unprecedented season where Wisconsin Football only played five regular season games and rescheduled the Battle for Paul Bunyan’s Axe, the Badgers are going to Duke’s Mayo Bowl.
Wisconsin announced Sunday it will play this year against Wake Forest on Dec. 30, in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Ohio State – Sugar Bowl CFP National Semifinal
After winning the B1G and finishing 6-0, the Buckeyes secured a No. 3 ranking on the final CFP Rankings. That leaves the Buckeyes with a semifinal rematch against the Clemson Tigers.
It has been a crazy and remarkable season for Ryan Day’s squad and they will now get the chance to avenge the loss in the semifinals last season. The game will kick on New Year’s Day.
