Vanderbilt’s Sarah Fuller may get the opportunity to make some college football history this Saturday.

In tweets from the Commodores and Fuller’s personal Twitter account, it was confirmed that Fuller will suit up with the team this weekend. The Commodores will be facing Missouri on the road.

Fuller is the starting goalie with Vanderbilt’s women’s soccer team and it was reported earlier in the week that she was practicing with the football team as a kicker. Vanderbilt had not confirmed that until the tweet from Friday.

According to Simon Gibbs with the Vanderbilt Hustler, head coach Derek Mason said that she is indeed an option at kicker for Saturday’s game. The Commodores also have a number of specialists in isolation due to COVID-19 issues, opening the opportunity for Fuller.

Should Fuller appear in Saturday’s game, she would make history as the first woman to play in a Power 5 football game.
