Home-field advantage: 3 B1G football teams finished the 2020 season undefeated in home games
Despite the B1G not allowing any fans to attend games during the 2020 season, there still seemed to be a home-field advantage for a handful of teams in the conference.
FOX Sports recently shared a graphic of all the teams that ended the season with perfect records in home games. Three B1G teams were included in the graphic, which listed more than two dozen college football teams.
Ohio State, Indiana and Northwestern were all perfect on their home turf during the 2020 season. The Buckeyes made it to the national championship unscathed, and then falling to Alabama in their only loss of the season.
Indiana’s only regular season loss was a road game to Ohio State and Northwestern’s lone regular season blemish was to Michigan State in East Lansing. The Hoosiers dropped their Outback Bowl game to Ole Miss and the Wildcats fell to the Buckeyes in the B1G Championship Game, as well.
