Winning a road basketball game in the B1G is no easy accomplishment, but that has been pushed to even bigger heights this season.

On Friday, No. 12 Maryland made the trek to Iowa City for a game against the unranked Hawkeyes. The Terrapins may have been favored, but they once again fell the way of many road teams before them. Iowa hit the gas and raced by Maryland 67-49 behind double-doubles from Joe Wieskamp and Luke Garza.

That win by Iowa now means the home team has won 26 of 30 conference games to start the season. That comes out to a .133 winning percentage of road teams in the B1G.

Beyond that, ranked road teams have just one win against an unranked home opponent so far this year:

Saturday’s slate of B1G action sees No. 11 Ohio State at Indiana, Rutgers at Illinois, Wisconsin at No. 20 Penn State, and Nebraska at Northwestern. Will we see the home team trend continue?
