Recruiting is a never-ending process in college football. So while there are still nine months between now and the Early Signing Period, it’s still interesting to see which teams are getting early work in on the recruiting front.

A handful of B1G teams are in excellent shape so far, landing some big-time recruits in the early part of the 2022 recruiting cycle. Ohio State leads the way, not only with the conference’s top class, but the best in the nation right now.

Eleven B1G teams have at least one verbal commit at this point in the process and seven of those squads have at least one 4- or 5-star prospect in the class. The three teams still searching for their first commitment are Indiana, Nebraska and Northwestern.
