Things have gone off the rails in Lincoln with Indiana and Nebraska scoring touchdowns in a variety of ways during the Week 5 contest. It started with the Hoosiers’ defense after Nebraska quarterback Casey Thompson was benched for a drive.

With Thompson removed from the game for a drive in favor of Chubba Purdy, Nebraska wound up deep against its own goal line to start the drive. Indiana’s defense dialed up the pressure sacking Purdy while forcing the fumble.

It was a recovery in the end zone for the defensive touchdown for Indiana:

Later on in the second quarter, Indiana was forced into a punting situation by the Huskers. On the play, Nebraska’s special teams unit brought the heat and got all the way home for the block.

The punt was blocked and returned all the way for a touchdown to give Nebraska the lead, 14-7:

With such a crazy turn of events, one can only wonder what the rest of the game will have in store Saturday night. Catch the action on BTN.
