Iowa opens as slim favorite vs. Purdue for Week 6 matchup
Iowa and Purdue are getting ready to meet again with a Week 6 matchup in Kinnick Stadium. It will be the latest installment in what has been a back-and-forth series between the two programs.
Last season, Iowa rolled into West Lafayette and clamped down on the Boilermakers for a 24-3 win. That was a bit of payback for a 2021 victory by Purdue in Kinnick Stadium. Purdue has won 3 of the last 5 in this series but the majority have been tight contests.
This time around, the game is projected to be another tight affair. The opening line from Circa Sports has Iowa at -4 for the matchup. Fans hoping to get in on the action can head to BetMGM to get started!

This year’s game will be one of contrasting styles as Purdue enters with an offense averaging 28 points per game but giving up over 29 points per game. The Boilermakers did find some balance against Illinois, racing to a 44-19 win.
As for Iowa, Kirk Ferentz’s Hawkeyes are averaging just 22.2 points per game but have allowed just 16.8 points per game in a 4-1 start. Further complicating matters, the Hawkeyes are likely to be without Cade McNamara after a non-contact injury against Michigan State.
Saturday’s game is set for 3:30 pm ET and will be broadcast on Peacock.
