B1G coaches spent two days in Chicago for media days, answering a flurry of questions about the upcoming season. The most important question that was asked, though, was a culinary one.

Is a hot dog a sandwich?

That debate seems to be stirring up frequently lately. A nation is torn over whether the American classic can be defined as a sandwich or whether it is its own separate entity. Several B1G coaches had offered their opinion on the matter.
