Jake Guarnera is getting closer to a final decision.

On Tuesday morning, the talented offensive lineman released his top 5 programs and set a commitment date of April 28. Guarnera is still considering Michigan, Penn State, Rutgers, Florida and NC State.

Here’s his announcement:

Guarnera is a highly-touted offensive lineman in the class of 2024. He’s a 3-star prospect and the No. 31 interior offensive lineman in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

He attends Ponte Verda High School in Ponte Verda Beach, Florida. He’s listed at 6-foot-4, 290 pounds.

Guarnera is a top target for the Wolverines in this cycle. Michigan initially offered him back in July of 2022. He took an unofficial visit to Ann Arbor back in March.

He would be a significant addition for the Wolverines in this class. Michigan already has 3 offensive linemen committed in the 2024 cycle. Overall, Michigan currently has 11 commitments and the No. 2-ranked class nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

Here are some highlights from Guarnera’s junior season:
