Jalen Nailor joins slew of receivers inactive for Michigan State vs. Central Michigan
As Michigan State prepares for what should be an easy game against Central Michigan University, the Spartans have been hit with a bit of bad news that may not impact the game — but could impact the overall season.
Chris Solari of the Detroit Free Press is reporting that freshman wide receiver Jalen Nailor will not play against the Chips.
Nailor, who hails from Las Vegas, Nevada, will be out of the game with an injury, per Solari. Just what the injury is for the wideout is unknown, but it was obviously bad enough to keep him out of this contest.

Another big injury for MSU: No WR Jalen Nailor after his breakout game at Indiana.
— Chris Solari (@chrissolari) September 29, 2018
This is bad news, specifically for Nailor, who had the opportunity for another big-time game with fellow wideouts Darrell Stewart Jr.and Cam Chambers also both out with injury.
Nailor could have become a big-time option for Brian Lewerke against Central, especially considering his production in last weekend’s win over Indiana. The Spartans, ranked No. 21 heading into this weekend’s game, beat Indiana, 35-21 on the road. Nailor led MSU in receiving yards with 79 on three receptions.
He also caught a touchdown pass.
