Jamaree Caldwell declares for 2025 NFL Draft, passing on return to Oregon
Jamaree Caldwell had a big decision to make. He played a typical 4 seasons of football, but with the NCAA’s latest JUCO season, he had the option to return to Oregon in 2025.
Caldwell, however, has decided to mov eon to playing pro football. He formally declared for the 2025 NFL Draft in a social media post Tuesday.
“I wish to start by giving thanks to my Lord and Savior for all of the blessings and opportunities granted to me. I would not be where I am today without his divine power and glory,” Caldwell wrote.
“Second, I would like to thank my family, friends and teammates for supporting and believing in me every step of the way.
“Throughout my decision-making process, I have experienced many emotions. Deciding whether or not to return to Oregon, which I consider to be my second home, was difficult.
“Starting at the JUCO level, moving to the University of Houston, and finishing at the University of Oregon has been a remarkable journey. I have gained so much from these amazing places and am grateful for the relationships I’ve formed along the way.
“I am ready to fulfill my childhood dream of playing professional football. With that being said, I will be foregoing my last year of eligibility and declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft.”
Caldwell joined the Ducks for Year 4 of his college career, playing 1 season in the JUCO ranks before 2 seasons at Houston. With Oregon, Caldwell recorded 28 total tackles including 4.5 TFLs in 2024.
