James Franklin, Penn State looking to right imbalance of B1G road openers

Penn State will open Big Ten play on the road for the 12th time in 13 years this Thursday.
The Nittany Lions travel to West Lafayette to battle against Purdue in what should be a loud and raucous environment. It’s not hard to see where head coach James Franklin is coming from when he addressed media concerning the imbalance between league road and home openers for Penn State.

The Nittany Lions’ only home B1G opener came against Rutgers in 2015. Penn State won that contest, 28-3. The Lions are 7-4 in B1G road openers since 2010.
