Jayden Taylor began his college career as a 3-star prospect for Butler in the 2021 recruiting class. After two seasons as a contributor for the Bulldogs, Taylor is in the transfer portal and could be a major addition to one program.

According to Jake Weingarten with Stockrisers, Taylor heard from Iowa State, Minnesota, Xavier and Northwestern early Monday night after entering the portal. Michigan State, NC State, LSU, Oklahoma, Gonzaga, Arkansas, Clemson and LMU quickly joined the mix per Weingarten.

Across two seasons for Butler, the 6-foot-4 Taylor appeared in 65 games (42) with the Bulldogs. Taylor led Butler with 12.9 points per game this past season while shooting 33% from 3-point range and also averaging 3.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.3 steals.

Coming out of high school, Taylor was a 3-star combo guard out of Indianapolis and the No. 9 player from Indiana per the 247 Sports Composite Rankings. His ties in the midwest could help Minnesota, Northwestern or Michigan State in pursuit of Taylor, but he looks like a player who can immediately impact wherever he winds up.
