Michigan State got a solid 27-21 win in Week 11 over Rutgers. The following day, Michigan State got another win by getting a commitment from a 4-star recruit in the 2023 recruiting class from linebacker Jayvant Brown.
Brown, a linebacker from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is the 29th-rated linebacker and the 68th-rated prospect from the state of Florida, according to 247Sports Composite. Brown also has 27 offers to play college football including South Carolina, Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Notre Dame, Ohio State., Penn State, and Texas.

Brown is the 12th prospect from the 2023 recruiting class to commit to playing for the Spartans. Michigan State currently ranks 31st in the nation with its recruiting class.
Michigan State does not currently possess a commitment from a 5-star prospect.
