Jedd Fisch is losing a major piece to his coaching staff, as offensive coordinator Brennan Carroll is leaving Washington to become the offensive line coach with the Las Vegas Raiders under his father, new Raiders head coach Pete Carroll, a source told ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg.

Carroll’s move to the NFL was first reported by Big Ten Network’s Yogi Roth.

This won’t be the first time that Carroll coaches under his dad. From 2015-20, he coached under Pete for the Seattle Seahawks, as the assistant offensive line coach from 2015-19 and then as the run game coordinator in 2020. Now, father and son are reunited once again, this time in Las Vegas.

After spending 3 seasons at Arizona as the offensive coordinator and offensive line coach from 2021-23, Carroll took the same positions at Washington in 2024, replacing Ryan Grubb. But now both Grubb and Carroll are on the move, with Grubb heading to Alabama to reunite with head coach Kalen DeBoer and Carroll now heading to Las Vegas to reunite with his father.

In a twist of irony, Fisch has now lost both of his 2024 coordinators to their father’s new coaching staffs. Steve Belichick recently left Washington as defensive coordinator to take the same position at North Carolina, where legendary father Bill Belichick is now the head coach.
