Jeffrey Bassa declares for 2025 NFL Draft with heartfelt note to Oregon
Jeffrey Bassa spent 4 seasons as a key performer for Oregon’s defense. Now, he’s confirming his next step will take him to the 2025 NFL Draft.
“To Oregon fans and Autzen Stadium: Thank you for your incredible support and for always creating an atmosphere like no other,” wrote Bassa on social media. “The experience of playing in Autzen is truly one of a kind, and it’s your energy and passion that make it so special. I am forever grateful for the unforgettable memories you’ve made possible. Thank you for everything!
“With that being said, I will be declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft!”
Bassa was the team’s 2nd-leading tackler during the 2023 season with 72 while adding 4 tackles for loss and a pick-6. This season, he registered 54 tackles but also chipped in 1.5 sacks, 2 pass breakups and 2 forced fumbles.
His best games of the season came with 8 tackles each against Boise State and Wisconsin. He also had a sack and pass breakup in the win over UCLA.
For his career, Jeffrey Bassa leaves the Ducks with 236 total tackles, 14 TFL, 4.5 sacks and 3 interceptions. He leaves Eugene after a particularly consistent career and leaves behind a big void in the Duck defense.
After a Big Ten title in their first season, Dan Lanning and Oregon will need to reload quickly to try and go back-to-back in 2025.
