Michigan lost to Penn State on Saturday 28-21.
Why? It was all because of wide receiver Ronnie Bell, right?
Well, no. Not at all. Bell did drop a potential game-tying touchdown pass in the fourth quarter for the Wolverines, but was that the entire reason Michigan lost? No. There were plenty of plays in the game that dictated the outcome.
Not just one.

Regardless of that knowledge, Bell, who did drop that pass, received plenty of hateful messages after the game. One alleged email came from Connor Grady, who is a reported 2019 Michigan graduate. Grady sent him a message that made Bell’s father publicly react to.
And, on Monday, Jim Harbaugh spoke with the media and touched on the hate that Bell has received:
Harbaugh on twitter hate toward Ronnie Bell "Im sure Connor Grady got as drunk as heck….wrote a bunch of stuff, the next day "why did I do that. I'm an idiot"

"take as many Ronnie Bells as possible" — Harbaugh

Harbaugh, of course, is backing his receiver. As he should. To say that Grady was drunk while messaging Bell may be incorrect, but, who knows?
Harbaugh got his point across.
The hate that Bell is receiving isn’t right and the Wolverines are happy to have him on their team.
