We are starting to move into more meaningful games as we move into conference play in college football. That also brings up the ever-changing Heisman conversation.

Who are some of the favorites as we start October? College football analyst Joe Klatt has some picks for you.

Two B1G players make Klatt’s list. Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud is at the top. Stroud has passed for 1,376 yards and 18 touchdowns to 2 interceptions for the 5-0 Buckeyes. Stroud’s touchdown mark is currently third in the nation.

The other conference player is Blake Corum. Few players have been better than the Michigan running back. Corum has carried the ball 93 times for 611 yards and 10 touchdowns through five games. Corum ran for 243 yards against Maryland and 133 yards against a stingy Iowa defense.

According to Klatt’s tiers, Stroud is one of the frontrunners for the award alongside Alabama’s Bryce Young and USC’s Caleb Williams. Corum landed in Tier 2 meaning he still has some work to do but is off to a hot start.

That means the Heisman Trophy could come down to the Ohio State-Michigan game at the end of the year. We have a long way to go before that, folks.
