Earlier Thursday, FOX Sports college football analyst Joel Klatt broke down his latest top 10 going into this week for college football and he obviously put a couple of Big Ten schools in there due to how good they’ve been.

At No. 10, he put Northwestern, who’s out to a 5-0 start after going just 3-9 this past season. They’re also the favorite to win the West division of the Big Ten conference. When Klatt was talking about them, he said, “No. 10, like the Committee, I value Northwestern and what they’re doing. That win was a huge win against Wisconsin. I like what their defense does…it looks like if they can continue on that path that they’ll play Ohio State from the other division in the B1G Championship Game.”

The other Big Ten team he put on there was Ohio State as they’re 4-0 and the No. 3 team in the country. When the Buckeyes came up, he said, “I’ve got Clemson behind Ohio State and I think that’s pretty clear, based on what’s happened on the field. Again these rankings aren’t necessarily who I would favor in games this weekend. There’s gotta be a combination of eye test…and what they’ve earned.”

It’ll be interesting to see how these rankings change next week after this week of games.
