We already know the B1G produces a ton of NFL talent, and there’s a good chance several former players in the conference are first-round selections when the draft comes around in a few months. But Joel Klatt is incredibly high on three players from the league.

Klatt, an analyst with FOX Sports, has listed out his Top 10 prospects for the 2021 NFL Draft. His rankings aren’t based on where he thinks players will be drafted, but by overall talent and potential heading to the next level.

Three players in his Top 5 are from the B1G.

Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields is the highest-ranked player from the B1G, coming in at No. 2 overall. He’s behind only Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who is also expected to be the top overall pick in the draft.

Penn State linebacker Micah Parsons was listed at No. 4 on Klatt’s list while Northwestern offensive lineman Rashawn Slater was just one spot back at No. 5. Neither Parsons nor Slater participated in the 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

All three players are expected to be first-round picks in the draft, but their statuses vary based on mock draft. Fields is often considered the best player from the B1G in the draft, closely followed by Parsons.
