Have you ever heard the phrase, “It just means more”?

Of course you have. It comes from the SEC.

When it comes down to talking about the best conferences in college football, the SEC gets most of the love. Right? Wrong? We’re not here to decide in this post.

However, FOX college football analyst Joel Klatt was on a BTN Take Ten podcast during B1G Media Days (July 18 and 19) and had some big words for the B1G:

Note: You can listen to the entire podcast below:

Klatt wasn’t exactly comparing the SEC to the Big Ten here. He was talking about the Big 12, Pac-12 and Big Ten.

Here is some more of what he had to say:

“Two years ago, when I started doing games for the Big Ten, it just felt different (…) it means more. It’s a bigger feel. It’s more traditional. I absolutely loved it. Gus (Johnson) and I have an unbelievable job. We get to go to the best game in those three conferences and 80 percent of the time it winds up being in the Big Ten. Not only because of the quality of the teams, but the quality of the venues.”

Klatt hasn’t called dozens of games in the SEC, ACC or other conferences. But, he has done games in the Big 12, Pac-12 and Big Ten.

In short, the Big Ten comes second-to-none.
