Everyone is making their predictions. With the College Football Playoff rankings coming out for the first time on Tuesday night, analysts are starting to make their early projections as to what the top 10 looks like.

FOX college football analyst Joel Klatt is one of those who wanted to take a stab at what he believes the rankings will look like on Tuesday night. He’s not necessarily saying this would be his personal top 10 — he releases that on Sundays — but what he expects to see out of the committee.

It would be pretty interesting.

Here’s what Klatt is expecting to see on ESPN on Tuesday night:

  1. LSU (8-0)
  2. Ohio State (8-0)
  3. Clemson (8-0)
  4. Alabama (8-0)
  5. Penn State (8-0)
  6. Georgia (7-1)
  7. Oregon (7-1)
  8. Oklahoma (7-1)
  9. Auburn (7-2)
  10. Utah (8-1)

That’s not too out of the ordinary, but the one glaring surprise would be Auburn at 7-2. Klatt believes that even though the Tigers lost to LSU and Florida, the win over Oregon might be enough to keep Gus Malzahn and company in the top 10.

Missing from Klatt’s predicted top 10 are undefeated teams Baylor and Minnesota.

We’ll see how close Klatt’s projections are later tonight.
