Each week, FOX college football analyst Joel Klatt releases a new top 10 based on what occurred from the previous weekend in the sport. This week, there are some changes to the analyst’s rankings.

Two B1G teams — Ohio State and Penn State — remain inside the top 10 spots, despite not playing a game yet. The conference is set to open up play on Saturday, Oct. 24. Klatt mentioned in his latest release that “after the Top 5 it’s a total mess.”

Here’s a look at Klatt’s latest top 10:

  1. Clemson
  2. Ohio State
  3. Alabama
  4. Georgia
  5. Notre Dame
  6. Penn State
  7. North Carolina
  8. Texas A&M
  9. Florida
  10. Oklahoma State

Eight of the teams in Klatt’s top 10 are either undefeated (Clemson, Alabama, Georgia, Notre Dame, North Carolina and Oklahoma State) or have not played a game yet (Ohio State and Penn State). Two teams, Florida and Texas A&M, have suffered a loss.

No. 21 Texas A&M pulled off an upset of No. 4 Florida on Saturday, with the Aggies winning 41-38 on a game-winning field goal.

How much will this change next week? Or when the B1G and Pac-12 get involved? It should be interesting to keep an eye on which teams Klatt thinks are the best in college football on a weekly basis.
