Joel Klatt has revealed his updated top 10 rankings after the Week 3 slate of games. The top 3 of Klatt’s rankings remained the same, with Georgia, Michigan, and Texas in that order.

The 4th and 5th slots are different, however. Last week, Florida State was 4th and Ohio State was 5th. This week, USC and Washington moved to 4th and 5th respectively while the Buckeyes fell to No. 6. The Buckeyes’ slide likely has more to do with other teams impressing than the Buckeyes disappointing.

Penn State comes in at No. 8, giving the B1G 3 teams inside the top 10.

Here is the complete list:

  1. Georgia
  2. Michigan
  3. Texas
  4. USC
  5. Washington
  6. Ohio State
  7. Florida State
  8. Penn State
  9. Utah
  10. Notre Dame

The Buckeyes pulled off a 63-10 victory over Western Kentucky this weekend. The team has a big matchup in Week 4 against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

The Michigan Wolverines maintained the No. 3 spot after handily taking care of business against Bowling Green, winning 31-6. The Wolverines will hope to stay perfect when B1G play gets underway in Week 4. The team begins conference play by welcoming in the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.
