Jordan James and the Oregon offense have been held in check for much of the night against Wisconsin. Now, the Ducks are trying to come to life in the 4th quarter to avoid the upset.

Oregon did finally find the end zone for the first time early in the final quarter but it took a crucial 4th-down conversion to make it happen. On the first play of the quarter, Dillon Gabriel threaded the needle with tight window throw to Jake Ferguson for a first down.

After that connection and another pass to Evan Stewart, the Ducks went back to James on the ground. He covered the final 14 yards on 2 carries, including an 11-yard run around the edge.

After being limited against Maryland, James has had no such restrictions against the Badgers. He is up to 16 carries for 88 yards with his touchdown run, and the Ducks will likely try to ride their star to the finish line.

During the game, James officially crossed the 1,000-yard mark for the season. It’s the first such season of his career and goes down as the 29th in Oregon program history. We’ll see how James adds to numbers down the stretch.
