Jordan James was injured during the game against Maryland last week, and his status for the game against Wisconsin was questionable.

However, James has not only played, but he went over 1,000 yards on the season during the matchup against the Badgers.

The junior from Nashville is the 29th player in the history of Oregon football to eclipse 1,000 yards in a season. Not only did James go over 1,000 yards, but he also got in the end zone as well.

James still has some work to do if he is going to crack the top 10 for single-season rushing yards by an Oregon player. Former Ducks running back Travis Dye is 10th for single-season rushing yards with 1,271 yards.

Last season, James showcased some of his potential, as he rushed for 759 yards and 11 touchdowns. He was the No. 2 running back for Oregon, as Bucky Irving was the featured back in Eugene.

James’ accomplishment now gives Oregon a 1,000-yard rusher each season so far under Dan Lanning. Irving eclipsed the mark in 2022 and 2023.

Oregon has 1 game remaining in the regular season after Saturday night, and that is a game against Washington in 2 weeks. The Ducks are currently No. 1 in the country and control their destiny in terms of making it to the B1G Championship and the College Football Playoff.
