Mecole Hardman Jr. didn’t have any remorse for Eli Apple after Cincinnati’s Super Bowl LVI loss on Sunday.

The Kansas City wide receiver took to Twitter to slam the Cincinnati cornerback, who surrendered a game-winning touchdown to the Los Angeles Rams. With less than 1:30 to play in the game, Matthew Stafford hit Cooper Kupp on a 1-yard touchdown pass to put the Rams ahead 23-20.

That touchdown proved to be the game-winner, with the Los Angeles defense coming up with a huge stop at the end of the game to seal the victory. After the game, Hardman took a shot at Apple.

“Wish you was a better corner bro then the game winning touchdown wouldn’t been scored on you,” Hardman said in a tweet directed at Apple. He followed that up by saying, “It’s cool big bro! You might just get (a Super Bowl ring) but in the meantime just go get better at your craft.”

The Bengals defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 27-24 in overtime in the AFC Championship Game to advance to the Super Bowl. After the game, Apple tweeted at Hardman and Tyreek Hill about Super Bowl tickets.

“Aye (Hardman and Hill) DM me yall number and I’ll hook yall up with them Super Bowl tickets on me,” Apple tweeted.

Cincinnati and Kansas City may not have a traditional rivalry in the NFL, but these exchanges might have sparked something for the years ahead.
