The easiest points of the half for the Wildcats, likely the easiest points the program has had all season, came when redshirt junior cornerback Justin Gardner intercepted freshman Jalon Daniels with 5:26 left in the second quarter and waltzed the 24 yards to the end zone to extend the lead to 20-0.

Freshman quarterback Will Howard completed seven-of-14 passes for 111 yards for Kansas State, and threw a 16-yard touchdown pass to redshirt sophomore tight end Sammy Wheeler.

Redshirt sophomore Phillip Brooks was the star of the first half, however, returning two punts for touchdowns, the first good for 55 yards and the second 52.

This clash is currently airing on FS1.
