Miami’s upset bid started strong as the Hurricanes led 35-29 at the half. The second half, however, belonged to the Jayhawks by a score of 47-15. Miami even had a 40-38 lead before Kansas dominated 38-10 to the final horn.
Kansas joins Villanova and Duke in the Final Four, which begins Saturday in New Orleans. The final spot will go to either to another blue blood or the Cinderella of this year’s March Madness. The East Region is down to No. 8-seed North Carolina and No. 15-seed Saint Peter’s, set for a 5:05 p.m. ET tip-off in Philadelphia, airing on CBS.
It’s the 4th Final Four for Bill Self after previous trips in 2008, 2012 and 2018.
