The entertainer for a halftime concert during the College Football Playoff has been named.

On Tuesday, ESPN announced that Kendrick Lamar would be hosting a concert at halftime of the College Football Playoff title game on Jan. 8. The performance will be held at Atlanta’s Centennial Park and will be free and open to the public.

ESPN will also televise the concert.

“Having the opportunity to perform at halftime of what will surely be the best game of the year between two deserving universities is truly an honor,” Lamar said in a statement. “Thank you, ESPN, for having me be the first halftime performer ever at the College Football Playoff National Championship.”

It was originally reported in September that pop star Taylor Swift would be performing at halftime. However, it turns out that turned out not to be true and Lamar was given the stage in Atlanta.

The winners of the Rose B0wl (Georgia vs. Oklahoma) and Sugar Bowl (Alabama vs. Clemson) will meet in the College Football Playoff championship.
