Kevin Harlan is the best in the business. If you weren’t convinced of that with his lengthy body of work throughout his broadcasting career, perhaps this call from Super Bowl LV will change your mind.
It had nothing to do with the game.
In the 4th quarter of Sunday night’s game, a random fan charged onto the field and ran around like an idiot before reaching one of the end zones at Raymond James Stadium and getting taken out by security at the event. That caused a brief delay during the game, but Harlan didn’t take any break from the action.
Harlan had a play-by-play call of the incident from Super Bowl LV. Yes, it’s already gone viral. Here’s the sound:

After Tampa Bay stomped Kansas City 31-9, you can understand why Harlan’s call of this moment is one of the most discussed topics from Super Bowl LV. There doesn’t seem to be a situation out there that can faze the famous broadcast voice.
Harlan has already earned the reputation as one of the best play-by-play announcers in sports. He might’ve just cemented his legacy with that call on Sunday night.
