Despite the tough 45-23 home loss to No. 3 Michigan in Week 13, B1G commissioner Kevin Warren believes that No. 2 Ohio State is still one of the top four teams in college football and deserves to go to the College Football Playoff.

After the game, ESPN’s Pete Thamel asked Warren if he believes the B1G should still have two teams in the Playoff:

“One hundred percent,” said Warren.

“Clearly, Michigan and Ohio State are two of the best four teams in the country, and I think today proved it. Great football game. Epic football game. Without a doubt, I think they are clearly two of the best football teams in the country.

“This was a really good football game from start to finish. These are two powerhouse teams and clearly two of the top four teams in all of college football. You look at all the games you watch. Put even the rankings to the side. If you ask yourself, who are the teams that are better than these two football teams in the country? These are two of the four best teams in the country. By far.”

Michigan will face Purdue in the B1G title game next Saturday. Ohio State will wait for the next College Football Playoff rankings on Tuesday to see how far the Buckeyes will have dropped.
