Kevin Warren spoke at B1G Basketball Media Days on Tuesday. The Athletic’s Scott Dochterman reported on what he said.

USC and UCLA won’t be arriving until 2024. However, Warren stated that the conference is already having talks about divisional alignments in football. Warren revealed that there are meetings taking place around the issue.

It will be interesting to see how the B1G eventually handles USC and UCLA when it comes to the division they’ll be in. In order for the divisions to have equal teams in the existing divisions, both couldn’t go into the B1G West. Perhaps a no-division format is something that fans might see in the future.

The Big 12 has used this format for quite some time. It allows for the two best teams to face each other in the conference championship game every season.

These meetings that are happening now could determine the future of the B1G. We’ll keep you updated as more news comes out about these meetings.
