Key Power 5 offensive coordinator fired, per report
Clemson offensive coordinator Brandon Streeter has been fired, per a report from Tiger Illustrated.
Streeter has been with the Tigers in several coaching positions since 2015, but 2022 was his first full season as offensive coordinator.
While the Tigers had an overall successful year, their offense struggled for much of the season as Clemson learned how to best use starting quarterback DJ Uiagalelei, who announced that he was transferring shortly after the conclusion of the regular season.
The Tigers’ offense was ranked 30th in the nation, scoring 33.2 points per game.
In Clemson’s three losses to Notre Dame, South Carolina and Tennessee, its offense was arguably the weak link. The Tigers scored just 14 points against Notre Dame and 14 points against Tennessee, which was marred by a weak defense.
Clemson has seen national prominence and success across the last decade, but it has taken a dip in the last two seasons compared to previous College Football Playoff appearances. Now, the Tigers are looking for an immediate change to get back to a place of competing with the likes of Georgia, Alabama, Michigan and Ohio State.
