Michigan avenged 2020’s loss to Penn State last season with a 21-17 win away from home. The Wolverines and Nittany Lions have played 25 times in total. Michigan leads the all-time series 15-10.

Michigan has beaten Colorado State, Hawai’i, UConn, Maryland, and Iowa so far. Penn State has wins over Purdue, Ohio, Auburn, Central Michigan, and Northwestern.

This matchup will also have two solid QBs going to head to head. J.J. McCarthy has done well enough as Michigan’s starting quarterback so far. On the Penn State side, Sean Clifford is looking to end his final season as a Nittany Lion in style.
