Maryland will be on the road for that game and it could be an important game for the divisional standings. Since Maryland joined the B1G in 2014, the Terrapins have only 1 win at Indiana, which happened in 2014. In the last trip to Bloomington in 2020, Maryland fell short in a 27-11 loss.

In 2021, Maryland took the last game of the series at home. Maryland won that home game by 3 games, 38-35.

For the 2022 season, both teams have winning records ahead of Week 6.

Maryland holds a 4-1 record prior to this week’s home game against Purdue. Maryland’s only loss this season happened in Week 4 against Michigan. Last week, Maryland bounced back from that loss with a 27-13 win over Michigan State.

Indiana hosts Michigan in Week 6. This will be a pivotal game for the Hoosiers to attempt to upset Michigan. Indiana is coming off consecutive losses to Cincinnati and Nebraska. Depending on the outcome of the Michigan game, there could be serious bowl game implications when Indiana faces Maryland.
