Kirby Smart might be in line for an ice bath comes Sunday morning.

No, that’s not a shot at how Georgia was performing early in the SEC Championship Game against LSU. It’s because Smart may have taken one of the hardest hits of the contest, celebrating a fumble recovery early with safety Lewis Cine.

Midway through the first quarter of the game, Cine recovered an LSU fumble with the Bulldogs trailing 7-0. It gave Georgia a little bit of life, and Cine celebrated the big play by chest bumping his head coach.

Smart went straight to the turf, getting flattened on the chest bump. Below is the video.

Smart may not feel the pain just yet because of all the adrenaline, but he’ll certainly feel that one in the morning.

We’ll keep an eye on the remainder of the SEC Championship Game to see if there’s a hit harder than the one Cine delivered to Smart. It’s going to be tough to beat.
