The Week 18 matchup Fowler and Herbstreit will be responsible for has yet to be announced, but ESPN guarantees both games during the Saturday doubleheader will have NFL Playoff implications. Coverage for their game will begin at 8:15 p.m. ET that day, with the network’s usual Monday Night Football crew calling the earlier game of the doubleheader.
That weekend will be the regular-season finale. Wild Card play starts up the following week.
It’ll be the 2nd NFL game in as many seasons for the longtime broadcast pairing. They worked the Steelers’ 26-16 win over the Giants on Sept. 14, 2020. Two days later, the duo will call the College Football Playoff National Championship (Jan. 10).
