Kirk Herbstreit clarifies College GameDay’s social media fiasco over Week 7 destination

Kirk Herbstreit took to social media Monday evening to clear the air over the on-site destination for ESPN’s College GameDay in Week 7.
Originally, GameDay announced a return visit to Knoxville, Tennessee as the Volunteers get set to host Alabama. That top-10 battle will feature big stakes and a lot of intrigue.
However, fans became confused when College GameDay’s social media accounts eliminated the content pointing to the trip to Knoxville. Despite that, Herbstreit reaffirmed GameDay is indeed heading to the game between the Volunteers and Crimson Tide.
“Just wanted to let people know (College GameDay) is 1000% coming to Knoxville this weekend-we are fired up to come back to town-,” wrote Herbstreit on Twitter.
“our ENTIRE crew can’t wait to get there and give this game the love and hype it deserves-see ya in Knoxville this weekend!”

As for the scrubbing of social media, Herbstreit did not have a full explanation but admitted it could have been related to a copyright issue with the music used on social media.
Not sure the details. Guessing a copyright issue with the music our social team used. But we’re coming and whatever was taken down wasn’t anything more than that. Sorry for any confusion. https://t.co/1KNEa9C0bl
