Following another week of college football, College Gameday analyst Kirk Herbstreit released his update top four and it’s a bit different from last week’s:
My top 4 after week 11
1-@AlabamaFTBL
2-@NDFootball
3-@OhioStateFB
4-@ClemsonFB
Next 2@GatorsFB @BYUfootball— Kirk Herbstreit (@KirkHerbstreit) November 15, 2020
Alabama being at the top isn’t a surprise despite not playing this week. They’re undefeated this season and have yet to come close to losing a game.
Notre Dame at number two is a slight change from last week as they absolutely blew the doors off Boston College last night, 45-31. Ian Book was sensational as he went 20/27 for 283 yards and three touchdown passes. They also beat Clemson in overtime last week, though the Tigers were without Trevor Lawrence.
Ohio State also didn’t play this week but this is still one of the best teams in the country. They’ve yet to be tested as well.
Despite having a loss on their resume, Clemson still got on Herbstreit’s list since when Lawrence is in the lineup, it’s just a completely different team. They’ll likely make the playoff as long as they win out.
If one of these teams falters though, a team like Florida or BYU would be quick to take their place as both teams have been playing sensational football this season.
